The Guest House

Guest House “CASA TAOS” is the creation of the renowned architect Abderrahim CHARAÏ, winner of the “Aga Khan Award For Architecture (AKAA)”.  The remarkable structure pays homage to the Arab-Andalusian style by combining natural materials, such as, Tadelakt for walls, talaouh (mixture of lime and straw) for facades, cedar wood for the doors and windows and briquettes terracotta to dress the pillars of the house. CASA TAOS was built and decorated with the hope of reflecting on mans´continual expression of discovery of the self, via art. The soul of the villa is a tip of the hat to traditional and contemporary creativity, from the four corners of the world. Its desire is to blend said tradition and love of art, with comfort.
